The first day of construction, first job,

to find the centre of the sculpture..

        Then to some how find a starting

point, the first important piece of

construction that decides the strength,

scale and basic shape of the sculpture.

The first piece also gets the flow of my

work going, the hardest part is

to get going!

        From this point an organic flow

begins, working around the form,

adding each piece to keep the balance in

360 degrees. The wood I have collected

and shaped, intuitively speaking about how it wants to

be built and grow into the final form...
