The continuing sculpture process

of carving and texturing each piece of timber

with tools and fire. The process may take a

few more weeks. Todays work was

watched by a curious Squirrel and a

male pheasant...

     In giving a unique texture, form and

colour to each individual branch and log,

I am hoping that this will give the overall

sculpture its character.

     A complex pattern of unique textures

and forms. So that the overall shape

of the sculpture will be a sum of its

multiple parts...

       After charring in the fire some of the

branches burnt bark fell off to reveal

unburnt wood. A lovely colour and texture

contrast...
